Vietnamese carrier Vietjet has announced the relaunch of its popular “Love Connection” campaign in India. Christened “Love Connection 2024”, the program will gift 50 free flight tickets to Indian couples with the most unique and special love stories.

The airline made the announcement at the high-profile Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit 2024. This marks the second edition of Vietjet’s romantic initiative in India after last year’s successful “Love Connection 2023” campaign.

Through this innovative program, Vietjet aims to honor and celebrate the beautiful love stories of Indian couples by offering them free flights to travel within Vietnam.

Couples Need to Share Memorable Love Story to Win Free Tickets

To participate, couples have to submit their one-of-a-kind love tales and travel wishes on the microsite loveconnection.vietjetair.com by the last date. 50 lucky couples will then be selected and gifted air tickets courtesy Vietjet to visit Vietnam’s most iconic locales.

The “Love Connection 2024” program has been customized specially for Indians by the rapidly-growing Vietnamese carrier. It intends to strengthen cultural ties between the two countries in a fun, innovative manner.

Alongside, Vietjet has announced exclusive discounts of 20% for Indian customers on Business Class and SkyBoss tickets from January 10-June 30, 2024.

The promo code “SBBUIN” needs to be applied on the airline’s website and mobile app to avail the offer within the stipulated travel period. It is valid for booking until January 16.

Vietjet Offers 35 Weekly Flights Connecting India & Vietnam

Currently, Vietjet operates 35 non-stop, round-trip flights every week between five major Indian cities and Vietnam. It connects Mumbai, New Delhi, Ahmedabad, Kochin, Tiruchirappalli with Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City.

The expanding route network has made Vietnam more accessible to Indian travelers looking for new holiday destinations in Southeast Asia.

Vietjet offers passengers multiple ticket categories to suit different budgets and travel needs – Business, SkyBoss, Deluxe and Eco.

Business Class is available on its widebody Airbus A330 aircraft deployed on India routes. It promises luxurious air travel with various facilities like private check-in, lounge access, in-flight fine dining inclusive of Vietnamese delicacies, personal onboard entertainment and more.

Indian Meals, Halal Food Also Available

Keeping Indian palates in mind, Vietjet serves specially prepared vegetarian meals, Halal meals and more on its India flights. Passengers can pre-book customized religious, medical meals as well.

CEO of Vietjet Commercial Director Jay L Lingeswara said, “Vietjet has been steadfast in our mission to enable air travel opportunities in Vietnam to the world, especially in India with our excellent Indian cabin crew and carefully-prepared inflight services…”

He further added, “We look forward to welcoming more Indian guests onboard with exceptional Vietnamese hospitality.”

Airline Aims to Boost India-Vietnam Bilateral Trade, Tourism

Industry experts opine Vietjet’s India focus aligns with the positive growth momentum in bilateral trade and tourism between the two nations.

In 2023, around 169,000 Indian tourists visited Vietnam registering a staggering 210% uptick versus 2022. Offerings like “Love Connection 2024” should further stimulate leisure and business travel in both directions.

Vietjet is also participating in India’s flagship Global Investors Summit to attract foreign investments and reinforce aviation links with India. Its growth strategy for the subcontinent emphasizes affordable connectivity, hospitality and cultural exchange.

As ties between both countries continue strengthening across spheres, Vietjet aims to facilitate deeper economic and social integration through its India-Vietnam air services.

Romantic Campaign Seeks to Boost Vietjet’s Mindshare Among Indian Travelers

industry observers believe Vietjet’s “Love Connection 2024” has a multipronged agenda. Apart from reviving travel, it seeks to capture India’s imagination and promote Vietnam as a preferred tourist spot.

It simultaneously boosts the airline’s own recall and gravitas in India’s rapidly evolving aviation landscape. The scheme’s unique emotional appeal and viral nature is likely to bolster Vietjet’s Indian customer base considerably.

With strategic growth initiatives like this, Vietjet underlines its serious intent to entrench itself deeper in the Indian subcontinent over the long-term.
