Not just in style, but also in range! Mahindra EV gives a range of 500km

There has been a big change in people’s thinking about electric vehicles recently. Earlier, EV vehicles were considered suitable only for small tasks in urban areas, like dropping children to school or commuting to office.

But the two Born EV vehicles launched by Mahindra have completely changed this thinking. These vehicles received more than 30,000 bookings on the very first day, which is a big deal for an electric vehicle.

So far, Mahindra has delivered about 15,000 units, and people are using these vehicles as primary vehicles – even for long distance driving.

Mahindra now plans to make these EV vehicles available to more people. Vehicles like the XUV 9e, which costs around ₹35 lakh, were selling well even earlier.

Now the company has introduced new pack two variants in the same lineup, which come with a bigger battery i.e. 79 kWh but are much cheaper than before. For example, the pack two variant of the B6 model is priced down by ₹3.4 lakh.

This move will give customers the option of a bigger battery at an affordable price, which is likely to increase demand even in states where tax benefits are limited.

Some features have been cut in the pack two variants but the essential and basic features have been retained.

For example, the B6 model is missing ventilated seats, 360° camera and some aesthetic LED elements, but it gets a 79 kWh battery with 285 PS of power and the latest LFP blade cell technology.

Apart from this, features like electric power steering, Harman Garden’s 16-speaker music system, wireless charging, dual zone climate control, tilt-telescopic steering also give this variant a premium touch.

The pack two variant of the XUV 9e also has a lot of things similar to what is available in the top variant. Features like power adjustable seats, three memory functions, alloy wheels, and three-screen setup make it strong in the segment.

Although the 360° camera and some AD features are missing, the price still makes it a very attractive option – available in two options of ₹26.5 lakh and ₹24.9 lakh.

With these new Pack Two variants, Mahindra aims to let more and more customers avail the benefits of a bigger battery and longer range at a lower price.

Especially for those consumers who want to buy a car in the tax benefit slab below ₹25 lakh, these variants can prove to be a great deal.

It is expected that in the coming time, Mahindra can bring further revolution in the market by introducing the option of 79 kWh battery in its base variant Pack One as well.
